Support Ventnor Bay businesses

As I write this Ventnor is all-but cut-off as far as visitors are concerned, with Leeson Road shut due to a fairly major landslip (preventing access between Ventnor and Sandown and The Bay area), and the main road linking the Undercliff to Upper Ventnor, Wroxall and beyond has been closed to enable Southern Water to repair their infrastructure around the constantly shifting sink hole (grabon; a stress-fracture akin to that at Leeson Road). So major bus and car diversions are in place - and a weird but one assumes necessary one-way system that reminds me of the old South Circular in London.

Anyway, businesses remain open along the sea from here in Ventnor but the situation in terms of customers looks dire to me. It’s a ghost town down here.

So, PLEASE, support these local business by coming down to the beach and buying a coffee, full-English breakfast, sandwich, pub meal.

Come down to Lady Scarlets, Besty & Spinky’s, Toni’s Tea Room, The Mill Bay, Golden Sands, Smoking Lobster, The Spyglass, The Met. Lots of options, lots of lovely food and drink and a peaceful beach.

Now really is the time to Eat Out to Help Out!

Who am I?

My name is Steve - the Cornish Vandweller - and I've been living very comfortably in my impossibly small Citroen Berlingo since February 2018. Keep an eye on my blog for updates.
